Problem

Social Content Plus, a new marketing growth company, needed to establish a strong online presence with a user-friendly platform that could attract and retain future clients. The primary challenge was to design an intuitive and visually appealing user interface that would showcase the platform's potential, making it easy for prospective users to understand its value. With no existing clients, the goal was to create a compelling website and user experience that could effectively communicate the benefits of the service, drive interest, and support the company's growth ambitions by helping clients grow their social media audiences.

When the client was looking for websites as reference, they came across Elevategrowth. This website's main focus is to acquire clients that need a marketer to help grow their audience.


Strengths


  • A strength that they have is client testimonial. Which shows that they are a trusted company that works with real life clients. These testimonials also provide the problems that clients were facing, as well as, the results in which Elevategrowth was able to help.

  • They also have content examples where they show off Instagram and YouTube posts that are currently active with many interactions. This displays what kind of content they create and metrics to how many people interact with their posts.


Weaknesses


  • They do not have a pricing page. This could be problematic if the clients want to see the pricing before contacting Elevategrowth. Without including the pricing page, they are setting up extra steps when choosing a plan.

  • UI is somewhat boring, there are many accordion designs for many of the information on the page. There is space on the page for the information, but it is all condensed into an accordion. If users want to look at information, they would need to click to expand the information.

When deciding the layout, we wanted to first decide what the function of the website was what features we should include. Using that information, we would then decide what results we wanted to gain from this website. We decided that the website needed these functions and features:

It is inevitable that a part of a project is not going accordingly to plan. You as a designer need to take a step back and be able to recognize what the users need and wants are.

  • In the project, we were given a style guide. In this style guide, we were given text, color, and logo variations. We worked with generating a lot of icons and images throughout the project. One of the challenges we faced was to make sure that the images and icons were both consistent and related to the brand and the idea of trustworthiness.

This project is something that is different from all my other projects. This project help me understand more of a business aspect of a website and not just the user experience. With our other projects, we focus on creating a pleasant experience for the user. But this time, we were a little more focused on the best way to increase user traffic for the business. This was a fun learning experience and is a great way to use my marketing background knowledge to help with the design of the website.
